If You Travel Without Your RV

My bonnie bride, Marti asked me a very deep question tonight over dinner.  If you are a fulltimer and you travel on a trip without your RV, does that mean you are on vacation?

All I know is we're spoiled traveling with our Journey and having all our things with us.  But tonight is different, we're packing bags and things to take with us, sans the Journey for a week long family reunion with my dad and all my brothers and sister up in the Adirondacks of New York State.

For years growing up, we vacationed on Brant Lake, just a little North of the much larger Lake George.  I learned to swim, row and sail boats, water ski and hike there.  Wonderful memories of staying in renting cabins, then my parents purchasing a mobile home trailer on the lake.  At family get togethers, we laugh at pictures of ourselves in our childhood years.

As time moved on the trailer was sold because we all went on our separate ways raising our own families.  This year, it will be great to be on the lake again after more than twenty years absence.  Marti and I are bringing our new Sea Eagle 370 to try out, it should be an excellent place to get the hang of it before we try more challenging waters at the Carolina Clan Sea Eagle Regatta in November.

As for Internet connectivity, that is a great unknown.  If you don't see any posts for about a week, that is why.  Don't worry, we will wear our life jackets.  :c)

Thanks for visiting and feel free to leave a comment.

  1. Ah, the Adirondacks are a special place. My kids always enjoyed our times there at a cabin of one of our friends. So did I, mostly. :)

  5. How cool! You'll have such a great time. We dislike having to pack bags to go somewhere too. It seems odd!

  6. Yes, you're going on vacation. We've thought about it but you know us. We'd rather work than play. Enjoy yourselves!
