Mood Swings

After digesting the information from our Realtors, we started thinking of a plan of attack to get the house ready for sale.  We set a tentative date to put the house on the market, far enough off to have plenty of time to get everything done right, but over-thinking things and starting to panic.

How are we going to get rid of everything non-important?  How did we get all this stuff?  What are we going to keep?  What are we going to store?  How can we take our most prized possessions with us?  What about the dog?  Take her? Find a new home?  What about coming off the road someday?  Wait, we're not even on the road. :c0

One minute I want to drag a trash can into the living room and start pitching stuff.  Another minute it makes you sad, those things are so nice...but they are worthless to try and sell at a garage sale.  Impatience...Anger...Sadness...wait a minute, we'll get it all done, we just have to plan.  Focus. Focus!!!

Taking a minute to breathe, looked at some pictures of the family, the grandkids, previous trips we've taken, time we spent together with the Journey as the catalyst to do it all.  Memories.  Priceless.  And portable!

We have been blessed and we have so much to be thankful for.  After all, this could be our fulltime home.

  1. Well it would be colourful and look at all that storage. Maybe you wouldn't need to get rid of so much......lol

  2. Ahhh Yes, The emotions. Ups and downs and even a little sideways sometimes. Just keep thinking about the great time you'll be having, living in your MH, seeing this great country of ours, and the freedom you'll have, once you make it through this very difficult part of the journey to your dream.

You'll make it. Have faith. :-)

  3. Take it one step at a time, and keep your eye one the prize: the freedom to do what you want to do when you want to do it. And most importantly the freedom to spend more time with those adorable grandchildren. It's worth the struggle.

  4. Things are just things. Memories are within us. We had our first yard sale in the spring and it was a liberating feeling. We're gonna liberate some more this Saturday.
