Doing Battle

Not much interesting going on here, except we spent the day doing battle...not with each other, but that ogre of all ogres...the IRS.

Of course, Murphy just had to get involved, too.  What a day for the Internet to be slow and the printer to break down.  Not to mention some changes in the tax code that positively made for a hair pulling, teeth grinding wait on the phone for the next available Turbo Tax advisor.

Got the Federal done, but printing will have to wait for tomorrow, when I can heal a bit from the beating I took today.

At least the good news is Uncle Sam owes me, not tons, but enough to make it worthwhile to get the unpleasant task done.

A little more pocket money to spend on that little special someone.  :c)

Not everyday is an exciting RV day, but we'll happily take them over working for a living.

Thanks for visiting and feel free to leave a comment.

  1. Share your frustration but I think I'd better send my taxes to you since I owe Uncle Sam. Less income=more taxes? I didn't think it was supposed to work that way.

  5. Lucky you! We had to pay. It's amazing to me when you are retired and living on so much less, that you still have to pay through the you know what!

  7. Yuck! That wasn't a fun topic at all. At least you have that precious baby to ease the pain.

  8. Taxes done, gone, and the overage left with Uncle Sam to apply to what we will surely owe in 2012 without the single largest deduction we used to have - the home mortgage.

  10. Paul, if you are near a base and need something printed, check out the library, there computers are hardwired for great connections and you can print from them cheap. A good option for slow wifi.

  11. Finished ours yesterday too. We owed as usual, but not as bad as I expected. We still have to figure out if we need to send something as estimated quarterlies. I'd just as soon send it in than get really socked next year.
