We Need To Lock This Guy Up

                                 And throw away the key!

                                        Who?  This guy???

NO!!!

This guy:

Punxsutawney Phil.

(Although the resemblance between the two is uncanny)

Old Phil predicted that we'd be out of this winter nonsense by now.  Man was he wrong!!!

Even down here in "sunny" and "warm" South Carolina, we've been freezing our tootsies off and the temps are going to drop below freezing again tonight.

Of course, it could be worse, like this:

Hopefully, this cold will break soon.  Where is all that Global Warming when you need it?

Maybe Old Homer can do a better job than Punxsutawney Phil.

Thanks for visiting and feel free to leave a comment.

  2. We have another cold front coming thru SW Florida - down to the low 40's tonight and only up to the low 60's during the day with north winds 13-20 MPH.

  3. My dad used to say "The only thing you can change about the weather is your attitude towards it."

Or, you can drive your RV further south! That's one of the reasons it has wheels. :-)

  6. I wish I had dark brown hair like Punxsutawney Phil, then maybe the resemblance would be more noticeable.

Since you no doubt meant to post my resemblance to Phil as some sort of slight to me, I went outside in the bright sunshine of Palm Springs, saw my shadow, and hereby sentence you eastern folks to 4 more weeks of winter!

  7. It certainly is pleasant here in central California. I think you need to look a little at the weather channel before you plan your travels ... you think???

  11. OK you guys, cut that out. Look what you've done now. Rick's seen his shadow. Everybody is going to blame you both if this winter stuff keeps it up.

I don't call it global warming, I call it climate Chaos. These crazy extremes are all perfect examples of it. But when I'm whining about the fact that I came to Florida to get away from winter temperatures in the 30's (low here tonight 31), I remember that the folks where I came from are now having temps in the teens. At the end of March?? Unheard of. Record lows everywhere. Record late snowfalls. chaos.

  18. Hate to throw salt on the wound, but it's actually warmer and dryer here in the "Great White North". Not sure what the heck that's all about, but I'll take it. I have this notion I might just hop on the bike today.
    Hope I survive.
