Ok, folks...we surely appreciate all the prayers and good wishes sent our way! Paul had his follow up today, and all is progressing well. Healing has started, and although we are not fully out of the woods, all signs are good! Praise God!
Paul is still restricted on any bouncy movement: running, dancing, not a problem! No heavy lifting, ok, not so bad. But, limited reading (an improvement on NO reading) which he is NOT happy about, being an avid reader. TV offers very little enticement, but for now, it's what he will have to adjust to doing. With our MiFi also failing, we have felt really limited in what we can do. There was also a mechanical issue he had to address, no bouncing or heaving lifting involved, but will save that for another post. Suffice it to say, all is well now. :)
There will be another ophthalmology follow up next Friday, as it can take up to 2 weeks for the laser to fully adhere and fix the hole/tear in the retina. He has been following their instructions, so we anticipate a good report the, also.
So, we will head back to the COE park tomorrow. This afternoon, I have my eye follow up and then I will teach the grandtreasures their piano lessons...they missed last week while we were with 'the supper club'.
Busy, busy bees that we are..... Signing off for now..... Marti for OEJ

Maybe Paul needs some audio books. I'm not a big fan but if you can't read, that's the next best thing. Glad to hear he is making good progress.
ReplyDeleteHow fun that you get to teach your little ones piano. That's a blessing that will last a lifetime.
There you go ... audio books. They aren't for me but Terry likes them.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update Marti, continued best wishes for good healing.
ReplyDeleteWe're really glad to hear that Paul's healing is progressing well. Hope your follow-up today goes well too. Looking forward to seeing you back here!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update on "one-eyed Jack". Hopefully, all will continue to go well as long as "jack" obeys doctor's orders - just keep a paddle handy to enforce those rules.
ReplyDeleteI keep telling Paul it's all in those scary "Strom-eyes" - he's a jinx! Even a laser couldn't pierce those. I think "one-eyed Jack" should turn old Strom's portrait so it faces the wall. I'm just sayin....
I've been expecting him to start singing "hi, ho, and a bottle of rum" resulting from the boredom! Very pleased he is making progress. Our prayers continue to go out to "Jack" and for you expecially, having to put up with him! lol
ReplyDeleteI am in total agreement with Rick - you got the old Strom eye. Thanks so much for this update Marti. I've been missing Paul's posts and comments. He brings a smile to my face all the time. Hoping for a perfect check up for you and for him on Friday.
ReplyDeleteGlad the repair is working:)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that things are moving in the right direction. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the updates. So happy to hear Paul is doing well.
ReplyDeleteThanks Marti...that's great news!! We'll continue to send positive thoughts your way for a complete recovery. Both of you take care and make sure OEJ does what the doctor order;o))
ReplyDeleteSo glad that God answers prayers! I'm sure that you will be glad to get back to 'work' :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear things are good so far. Just keep following the doc's orders, please.
ReplyDeleteSo glad things are progressing in the right direction. Thanks for the update Marti and hope your checkup was positive too. Safe travels back to the COE park.
ReplyDeleteSend him outside to polish the rig without jiggling!
ReplyDeleteThats good news, thanks for the update and maybe a few audio books would help pass the time.
ReplyDeleteNice to know you and Paul better as I read your blog...keep us updated and no bouncing!
