Marti's Musings: One more check off!

Our To-Do list is finally diminishing, albeit s-l-o-w-l-y.

Of course, being 'gimpy' the past month, sure has altered our timetable somewhat.  I am so glad that at least now I am walking upright, with minimal crutch usage.  yeah!  Is there anything more frustrating than knowing there is a mile long list needing to be done, and you can do none of it?  Talk about stewing in your juices!

However, tomorrow the contractor comes from Lowe's, to measure our counter tops for replacement.  That is one more item to check off the list of things 'needing to be done', at the recommendation of our Realtors.

We head to Disney one week from tomorrow, and will swing by our daughter's house to drop off a load of boxes for storage.  yeah!  Progress!

Speaking of Disney, life is all about perspective, isn't it?  Thinking of 'doing' Disney on partial crutch use, and with a walking air boot (that weighs a ton! OK, slight exaggeration, but still!) and mostly in a wheelchair, is somewhat intimidating,  and frustrating.  I LOVE Disney, and being there with the grandsons, man - what a thrill.  But in a wheelchair?   yikes.  I did it several years back with a broken toe, but I was much more mobile then.  Now, my daughter, on the other hand, after working out the needed details for wheelchairs, etc (yeah, she got my worry gene) - responds to the use of a wheelchair in the park with this email:  "SCORE!  Front of the lines for us!"  Huh? Yup, it's all about perspective.  :-)

Thanks for visiting and Welcome to our newest followers: 'Doncat and Cheryl' and 'David B' (did I already welcome you?)  Thanks for joining us!

  2. So where do you sign up for the wheel chairs at Disney. You are getting rid of your place and we are acquiring another. Glad to be residents of your wonderful country for at least part of the year, but over here in a part that the locals call "Little Canada" we will have to keep those "u's" in neigbourhood, labour and colour for now..lol. Have a great trip to the Magic Kingdom.
