Christmas Comes Early

We wish we could clone ourselves.  With our three kids and their families living in three different states, it is hard to spend the same holidays with each of them, so we have to pick and choose and rotate the special times.

Now if we could clone ourselves into three of us, we could spend all the holidays with all the kids at the same time.  Alas, that is not to be.  Plus, it is hard enough to put diesel fuel in one motorhome, let alone three…

Our solution is to celebrate the holidays, like Christmas, when we’re with whatever family at when we can be here.  We’ve had Christmas for son Ryan and DIL Amber and their girls here at their home in Pennsylvania.

Marti worked hard and made dresses for the older girls, Taylor and Kierra on the sewing machine here in the Journey.  I was amazed at how she got all the pieces sewed together into beautiful dresses.  She also made a little matching dress for a doll we bought each girl.

The girls loved the dresses and they fit like gloves.

The girls had fun tearing into their packages, like all kids do.

Little Rebekah needed a bit of help from mom, Amber.

She had a ball with her new toys.

Marti loves crafts as do the girls, so they worked on building a gingerbread house.

We’ve enjoyed sharing “Christmas” with our granddaughters.  We’re glad to be able to travel and have time to visit the kids.  Full time RVing is a blessing and we’re sure enjoying it!

Thanks for visiting and feel free to leave a comment.

  12. The key is to have four clones and the send the last pair back to work. I like the ideal of having Christmas whenever you are in town. Soon your kids will put up the Xmas tree whenever you visit.
