Tonight we're up in NJ, RV less. We are watching the grandsons while our daughter and son-in-law are in another state house hunting. A job change due to the poor economy has caused their upcoming move. We're grateful that SIL Brian secured another job right away.
We were unable to bring the RV because there are no nearby campgrounds here in northern NJ and if we did, we'd have no where to park it. But we wish we did, all day there have been very high winds and a tree fell down the street and took out the power lines. If we had the RV, we'd have already lit off the generator and would be comfortable all night.
But no RV means taking a different tack, I made a quick run down to the local Wal-Mart and stocked up on some portable lanterns, glow sticks, candles and flashlights. When I pulled in to the parking lot, there, off in a corner was a nice Class A RV, all set up for an overnight. I'm jealous!
In retrospect, we're very fortunate to have our motorhome. It is a reward for years of hard work and careful spending. It is ready for the next step in our lives, full time traveling. The best part will be the new home that our kids are buying has a bunch of campgrounds all around it! We'll be able to take the Journey with us anytime we visit and not suffer withdrawal symptoms. How cool is that? :c)
