Right down the street from our "Moochdocking" site are some incredible vistas.
Even some of the man made sights are amazing. The Astoria bridge across the Columbia River. You can almost get a nose bleed driving over it.
We'd have more great pictures, but for some strange reason, it keeps raining out here. We're not complaining, the temps have been pretty mild and you don't have to shovel rain.
Thanks for visiting and feel free to leave a comment.
YES, keep telling people about the RAIN...maybe that will keep them from coming here and spoiling things for us! Show more fog pictures too, and remember how cold it was not so long ago. We do get snow here in Eugene. Show pictures of the traffic, Astoria has lots of traffic, I know...we were there this past summer. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful area. It's even more gorgeous during the summer when the sun is shining. Those flies kinda disappear in the winter but that's a good thing.
ReplyDeletethe Oregon coast is simply beautiful..and Russ?..he is so funny!!..
ReplyDeleteDon't mind the rain one bit ... except when I am trying to take a photo and it gets in my way :-))))
ReplyDeleteRain is no fun but at least you don't have to shovel it folks...gorgeous pictures....
ReplyDeleteWe love the Oregon coast too and hope to get back there again in the spring.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy,

The Northwest is one of our favorite places to hang out... it is gorgeous in Oregon!

Happy New Years to you both

WOW your son sure does have a great looking neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteOregon and Idaho are the only western states I haven't been to and I can't wait.
We aren't in a big hurry to get there like you were, but we plan to get therefor some quality time too. The rain just makes things greener.

Oregon is one place we'd like to spend a lot of time in. We've been reading about it for so long that it almost seems like we've been there. Really looking forward to it!
ReplyDeleteVery very pretty! We haven't been there (yet) but plan to get that way once we go full time too. Niece has a coffee shop in Portland so we have to stop by for a free cup of joe ya know!

Oregon is on our must see short list. Just think, you won't have to wake up in a few days and have to worry about going back to work.
ReplyDeleteI guess you did all the touristy things on previous trips. My friends all raved about the Maritime Museum and, corny as it is, I love the trolley. But of course nothing beats the Column. I really do like Astoria, although we had a lot of dreary weather too.
ReplyDeleteBut I know you're there with those precious grandtreasures (love that word) who have probably flown many paper airplanes off the Column.
