Inside the Mystery Box

Yesterday I found this box on my front porch.

Inside the item was carefully packed.

Pulling out the packing revealed box number two.

What is in box number two?  My new compass, of course!

On the compass bottom are two dials to "Swing", or calibrate the compass, both in the North-South and East-West direction.

On the bottom of the bracket is an adhesive strip to fasten the compass to the dash or window.

Only one problem, I think I'm gonna' need one of these:

Yep, when the website said it was a "Mini" compass, they were not kidding!

I don't think this is a good fit for the Journey, it is just too small and would be too hard to see on the dash or the windshield.  I'll use it in our toad, but it's back to the drawing board (or Google) to find a better compass. :c)

Thanks for visiting and feel free to leave a comment.

  1. LOL LOL. and here we thought you had a WINNER!

The digital one I got for Steve has a large screen and even illumnated at night if you want. We got it from an RV dealer for about $35

    Like this one:

    Van Boxtel RV Supermart

    part number 146032 or 14-6032

  2. sorry to hear that the compass was so small..!! is hard not to be able to see something that is so teeny!!!..back to the drawing board!!

  3. That is indeed mini. While I am driving that would be useless. It might be easier to head to a Bass pro Shop or other such outdoors store and see it first before buying.

  4. I thought it was going to be a belated Valentine's gift! And it was just a too-small compass. Shoot! (as we use to say when I was a kid) The hunt continues!
