It’s a rainy day here is South Carolina with not much going on. I thought I’d rerun a post I did a couple of years ago of one of my finer moments during my Coast Guard career. Some of you may remember it, but I’m sure many others never saw it, So, enjoy, or have a good laugh…whatever comes to mind. :c)

Once again Paul, thank you for your service
ReplyDeleteGreat story, Paul. I always knew you were all wet!
ReplyDeleteGreat story. Glad you were rescued. The world is a better place with you in it. (That sounded good .. didn't it?)
ReplyDeleteI remember this. Great story. Love Rick's comment.
ReplyDeleteAnother interesting post , thanks for reliving it with us.
ReplyDeleteToo bad about the boat , but at least everyone was safe.
I've only been on a boat one time that was taking on serious water. We had just put the thing in the water and it had to do with the engine cooling system and a pet cock that was turned the wrong way. Had me down on my hands and knees for a few minutes there trying to sort that one out. I can't imagine being out in the deep blue and having a boat sink out from under me. That would suck.
ReplyDeleteIt's a little surprising that they let it get that far along before thinking that maybe they should investigate? Unfortunately, there are a lot of dummies out there on boats.
Lucky for them, you were there to "fix stupid".
