Blogger is fighting with me tonight!

Please be patient, Blogger is giving me fits tonight and not allowing me to post pictures. I'll win because I have a tool box full of hammers and I'm not afraid to use them!

Surprise Visitor!

Our son Ryan, who is also in the Coast Guard, popped onto my base at Yorktown, VA today for some training, all the way from Astoria, Oregon!  Totally unexpected, we have not seen him since last August.

I had to bring him home for the night, he leaves Friday, so hopefully you'll please excuse us from a long post tonight while we spend some time together. :c)

It's Walt Disney World's Fort Wilderness Campground!

All the sites are shady, with level concrete pads and full hook ups.

During different times of the year, campers decorate their campsites.

There is a nice pond where you can fish or rent canoes.

A nice pool area.

The kiddie pool has been upgraded since this picture was taken, it now even nicer.

At the marina, you can rent boats to sail on the Seven Seas Lagoon.

You also can catch a boat to the Magic Kingdom, sometimes it's a little one.

Other times, it's a big one.

For this year's trip, we had a premium site, it was really big...and nice!

Pirate Andrew and Owie loved riding around in our rental golf cart.  You can rent them here, or bring your own.

Fort Wilderness takes pride in their cleanliness, here a worker is pressure washing the fence rails and the signs!

It's no wonder people come from long distances to camp at Fort Wilderness!

The only bad thing is finding the dreaded yellow envelope on your windshield.  It's your sign that it's your checkout day and you have to go home. :c( 

Fortunately, there is always next year!
