How Do You Kill A Zombie?

I dunno, maybe I have a bad case of “Sitting-Still-Itis” because strange things have been happening.  In my dreams at night.

Before you jump to conclusions, I’m not drinking and smoking some foul smelling weed, these dreams just pop into my head.

The other night I was back in high school at the college prep boarding school I attended, trying to get all the furniture put in proper order in my dorm room, with the help of a guy I worked with in the Coast Guard.  Weird, huh?  Even weirder, I actually got everything organized.  Now I know it was a dream.

But last night’s dream was a real kicker.  I went to visit some friends and their house was attacked…by zombies!

I tried my best to hold them back, but it wasn’t working!

Fortunately for me, just as a zombie grabbed my arm and was trying to pull me out of a window, I woke up.  Sheesh!  Maybe I’d best replace the Journey’s Sleepless Number mattress sooner rather than later.

So after my head cleared (Ha!) I decided to do some research on zombies.  After all, even the Pentagon has plans to combat a zombie outbreak.  ( I guess that’s what happens to some General’s mind from wandering around lost in the many rings of the Pentagon).

First off, there are actual posters of instructions on zombies.  I’m not making this up.

Then there are emergency tools to grab in case of an attack.

Of course with my luck and the terrible ammunition shortage there wouldn’t be any shells to put in the gun to use it.

I guess I’d just be doomed to lose out to a zombie attack.  I have to accept my fate.  Or I just need to get back on the road and travel, I know I’d be safe out there.

Feel free to leave comments of sympathy to Marti for being stuck with me.

  3. You're funny. But yes, even the Center for Disease Control has comments on its website regarding a zombie invasion. Apparently the line between reality and fantasy is a bit blurred for some people.

  5. Shrinks believe dreams are real. I believe that means you are in real danger of becoming a Zombie so you'd best not ask for advice on how to kill them. That would make you insane. Hmmm.....

  6. You need to change your sleep number to something not so weird.

  9. I am doing some crazy dreaming too. Had to call a friend back home to be sure she was okay. The next night I wake myself laughing out loud. Maybe it's RVitis.

  11. Laughed out loud about your zombie attack. But seriously don't we have real (non-thinkers) zombies out there ... you probably know some, I do

  12. Perhaps the eye operation will change the vision of your dreams. You can only hope...

  13. Can we all do a write-in campaign to the VA to get you this surgery sooner rather than later...think it's time for some drastic measures;o))

If that can't be done, at least change the number on your sleep number bed...there has to be a HAPPY number!!!

  14. Now I'm beginning to wonder what those grandkids are teaching you and what shows you're watching with them. You definitely need to do something to keep your mind on fun things and zombies are fun.

  16. Sure, if I get up at 4:00a, I can comment ;-) I'm sorry to hear about the delay in your surgery ... you've been patiently waiting for the day to come and then to have it cancelled at the last minute must have been incredibly frustrating. Hope Marti's feeling better by now.

  18. Diana has a theory that if you don't have enough stress in your life, you have stressful dreams. She and I both noticed our dreams became more stressful after we went on the road.

  19. Must husband has been dreaming about Zombies and kicking the side cabinets. I think he's having Zombie withdrawals after reading a Zombie book series.
