Marti's Musings: Done! (Plus a Post Script from Paul)

I survived, and succeeded.  4 minor deficiencies, and no revisit required.  And now, I am going to relax and sleep!

Tomorrow we celebrate Paul's birthday, and hopefully we can make a little progress on the home front.

I agree that this post helps clarify how great it will be to be done with the work world.  Thanks for your support!  ~Marti

Post Script from Paul:

I'm glad to get my bonnie bride back.  She had quite an almost 70 hour long week, despite all the poking and prodding by the state snoopers inspectors, she came out with an outstanding inspection report.  I knew she'd do well, she puts her heart and soul into the job and inspires her staff to excel.  A natural born leader.

To celebrate, I took her out for a nice dinner at Don Pablo's (a Tex-Mex restaurant).  Her she is looking relieved and more like the girl I know and love, tired but happy it's all over.

Of course, what meal would be complete without...

...a phone call from work.  The inspection may be over but the facility never sleeps, it is a 24/7/365 operation.  And being the boss in charge of it all takes dedication (and loads of patience).

When we hit the road, I'm throwing that phone out of the window of our Journey!

Thanks for visiting and feel free to leave a comment.

  1. Someday when things aren't going too well and you're thinking you may have made the wrong decision to go full-timing, come back and read these last couple of blog entries you've just posted.

Then, you'll realize that you've made the right decision. :-)

    See you in April,

    Jim

  2. I agree with Jim. The last few days are reason enough to keep the goal in sight.
Happy birthday to both of you!

  3. Marti: I predict that the first week that you are full-timing it, all you'll do is sleep!

  10. P.S. What's on the agenda for Paul's birthday?? My guess is pizza since that's what you tried to order for Marti on her real birth date. (sneaky, sneaky!)
